NextPVR allows you to choose the aspect ratio when watching TV, recordings or general video.

Recommended. NextPVR will attempt to the select the best aspect ration based on your TV shape and source video media.
Potentially crops the edges of the image in order to fill the entire screen.
Removes the horizontal black bars commonly shown when a widescreen source is viewed using a non-widescreen display (or a 'cinema scope' video on a widescreen display). The image may look 'stretched'.
Zoom's into the centre of the image to fill most of the screen, potential for cropping.
Shows black bars shown on either side of an image to avoids stretching the image when a non-widescreen source is used with a widescreen display.
