Topics & Notes:
Check past action items
- Previous meeting notes: https://github.com/elisa-tech/wg-systems/wiki/Feb-24,-2025-%E2%80%90-16:00-UTC
- AI-Sebastian: Involvement of DIN can also be interesting. Sebastian will take a first contact.
- Communication started. Another meeting scheduled in Feb.
- AI-Philipp: Add architecture picture to Systems-WG repo for better clarity.
Standards Atlas
- 2nd deep dive performed. Interest in the topic overall, but not to have immediate action.
- Next sync in fall 2025 to see where the automated train project proceeded with it.
- In case of sufficient interest and driving it (e.g. with BASIL) than picking up earlier is always possible.
Railway WG formation
- Working group proposal: https://docs.google.com/document/d/12YAObVbfqeNXOSREpNmHvZDqUiqXBypAgnMP3j37VVE
- Good progress in preparation of proposal.
- Pending MGMT approval from potential participants.
- Next meeting proposal: Tuesday 2:00 PM on May 6th is seen as best date to meet again.
- AI-Philipp: Create invitation for the next Railways WG meeting May 6th 2:00 PM CEST
- What drives the working group topics?
- Overall strategy from the governing board
- Major topics for cross collaboration (and reporting of topics) in TSC
- Workshops create many topics.
- Working groups come up with topics of interest and members of group define what they work on.
- Blog https://elisa.tech/blog/2025/03/05/elisa-project-achievements-updates/ shows 2025 goal

Example system composition
- During Embedded World AGL presented a SDV architectural proposal utilizing AGL IC + IVI with Xen and Zephyr
- Idea from AGL might be to bring this on top of Renesas hardware and ARM Graviton image (AGL is not 100% set there)
- Idea for ELISA Systems WG: take yocto full image to create a (qemu) image with meta-zepyhr and meta-virtualization.
- Could be based on AGL or a plain yocto. Both worth to try.
- Xen-Troops worked out of the box with recent release for S4. It is based on current LTS version. No graphics.
- Moulin is build tooling for it (maintained by epam)
- Default config is Dom0 and DomD. DomU is optional.
- autoSD or CentOS can also be options.
- first have an autoSD running.
- see if e.g. S-Core can be applied on top of the example system (discussion happened today in S-Core working group).
- -> Good topic for the ELISA workshop in May
- approach potential automotive partner and hardware vendor with a working system
- Xen to build Dom0 and spawn other DomUs e.g. based on CentOS with podman inside.
- x86 architecture may be a point as well as they bring the confidential computing hardware blocks and it can be checked how they can be used for safety.
- This would imply KVM most likely or maybe kata container.
- x86 is a major topic in railway industry and also for robotics/industrial applications.

- Next:
- Bring the draft towards LF Europe end of the week. --> Mae wants to reach out to LF Europe
- Have it published in LF Europe and ELISA newsletter e/o March.
- Collect feedback in April
- Use it for OSS NA in June.
- Make sure that Kate speaks to Gabriele Columbro during LF member summit
