Topics & Notes:
Check past action items
- AI-Philipp-Thomas: Need to schedule a follow-up with ZAL (Aerospace research centre in Hamburg, Germany)
- ZAL is still considering XEN to have a more centralized HW platform.
- Want to have a follow up meeting to discuss the system composition.
- ZAL (working with Airbus) considered to have a Zephyr, Xen & Linux system based on Xilinx hardware for research evaluation.
- Check their interest in ELISA in a follow up and if it makes sense for them to join Systems or Aerospace WGs.
- AI-Philipp-Nicole: Need to have also a follow-up on Nix & NixOS as they were interested in the SBOM topic.
- We got response from Nix and we need to find a slot when Nix people, Nicole and Philipp are available at same time.
- Nicole and Philipp will align offline.
- We need to check if they need anything and what they need for functional safety.
- Minutes from last meeting are here: https://github.com/elisa-tech/wg-systems/wiki/Feb-19%252C-2024-%E2%80%90-16%253A00-UTC
Latest status on Qemu work
- Some inconsitancies were observed and some files were missing.
- described the setup at https://github.com/mtt2hi/wg-systems/blob/wip/mtt2hi/metadoc-3/Documentation/xen-demo-zcu102/cr-image-script.md
- Mountimage is also provided by https://gitlab.apertis.org/pkg/apertis-dev-tools/-/blob/apertis/v2024/tools/mountimage?ref_type=heads
- Thomas also did another round of reproductions and things worked out for him again.
- Would be good to have some feedback also from Vikas or Vipul from their reproduction.
- Yocto setup reproductions at other people's machines can be a bit tricky. 😉
Embedded World Showcase
- The demonstrator can run a special version of APERTIS. It is a plug and boot system.
- No major setup demand. The demonstrator is in a case and autoboots.
- Consideration to have the showcase at Collabora booth or at AGL booth.
- Collabora may have space and team to demonstrate the solution.
- Limiting part is the setup demand.
- Have branded flyers and have people there.
- Have a demo script/story, so that a story and consistent message for the demo would be good.
- Full documentation including demo cases can be found in GitHub
- https://github.com/elisa-tech/wg-systems/blob/main/Documentation/xen-demo-zcu102/contents.md
- The wider story would need to be prepared
- Benjamin could bring the demo and be there for a day or two days.
- Logistics of returning demo on Thursday need to be clarified.
- Considerations for AGL booth.
- Will require AGL to be included in the demo, which is currently not the case.
- Will require to have a person representing the demo for the full 3 days, which we cannot guarantee.
- Bosch is seen as presenter as we prepared the demo system, but Bosch is not an AGL member, making showcasing also complicated.
- Consideration for Zephyr booth.
- Booth is fully booked and no space for ELISA demonstrator.
- Conclusion: Go with the Collabora booth.
- Big thanks to Collabora (Guy) to confirm willingness of showcasing the ELISA example system.
- Kate to share One pagers with Collabora.
- Further logistics are sorted out in the next weeks between Bosch & Collabora, keeping everyone informed via this channel.
