Carve Settings - elanthia-online/dr-scripts GitHub Wiki

Description

Carves one item from stone or bone (Engineering). It studies the recipe, takes your material and works it through every step the game asks for: cutting with a chisel or saw, rubbing with rifflers or a rasp, polishing, and assembling parts such as hilts, poles or cords.

workorders runs it for carving work orders. It doesn't buy materials, so have your stone or bone ready when running it yourself.

See Crafting Setup for engineering tools, toolbelts and books.

crafting_items_in_container:
Setting Default Purpose

carving_belt Toolbelt your carving tools hang on. Falls back to engineering_belt.
crafting_container backpack Where the material, parts, polish and the recipe book are kept.
crafting_items_in_container Items to take only from crafting_container, such as polish.
For bone, add your saw to carving_tools; the default list has no saw. If you've set engineering_tools, the cutting tool is looked up there instead of in carving_tools.

The rifflers, rasp, polish and your stamp are taken by name when a step needs them. Polish isn't restocked, so keep some on hand.

Other settings

Setting Default Purpose
mark_crafted_goods false Mark the finished item with your stamp.

How carving is handled

There are no settings for these; this is what to expect.

  • Material. It takes <material> <type> from your inventory, for example alabaster rock or wolf stack.
    • A material too heavy to lift is carved where it lies.
    • A boulder is always carved where it lies.
    • A deed is tapped to bring out the material first.
  • Parts. When the item needs a part (a hilt, a haft, a pole or a cord), it takes the part from crafting_container and assembles it.
  • When it's done, your tools are stowed and you're left holding the finished item (marked, if mark_crafted_goods is on).

Argument Settings
