Groups option is intended to combine multiple ROIs (functionally or for analysis) and to change ROI's appearance.

The group manager dialog allows "new addition"/"edit"/"change appearance" of specific groups. Also, group settings can be saved and loaded.

By plugin design, each ROI must belong to some group. Upon the start of the plugin, there is only one, special group, called *undefined*. It is always the first group in the list and it cannot be deleted or renamed (but its appearance can be changed).

Each newly added ROI will belong to a group selected at the dropdown box at the bottom of Panel Tracing.

The names of ROI in the ROI Manager list contain group prefixes (first three letters of the group's name) in square brackets. The same format of the name is used in measurement results, so data can be combined by sorting ROIs names.

Visibility of all ROIs from a specific group can be toggled by icon.

The appearance of individual ROIs (even if they belong to a specific group) can be altered using Properties button at the Panel Tracing tab. But editing group properties in Group Manager will reset the appearance of all ROIs from this group.

We kept *undefined* group for cases when one of the groups is deleted. At this point plugin will offer a choice: either remove all ROIs of this group from the list or move them to the *undefined* group.
