Features

The plugin's functionality can be broken down into 2 main features:

• Importing notes from Anki into Obsidian as text in a single note or separate notes
• Exporting notes from Obsidian into Anki that are defined in user-specified files and folders

The user can choose to sync their notes when Obsidian starts up or manually through Obsidian commands. Some other useful features that control how notes are synced are listed below:

• Rules define which notes are imported/exported between Anki and Obsidian
• Formatting determines how the Markdown that Obsidian uses is translated into HTML for Anki and vice versa
• Templates and regular expressions are used to find notes in the Obsidian vault to export. For importing, templates are used to define how the Anki note is typeset in Obsidian
