Different types of trees in TFC have the possibility to drop delicious nuts for you to snack on. First, you'll need to make yourself a Mallet. See JEI for how to do it.

Now find a tree to shake and right click the trunk with your hammer to get those nuts down.

• Hickory - Pecan Nuts
• Oak - Acorns
• Chestnut - Chestnuts
• Pine - Pinecone
• Palm - Coconut

Some nuts can only be gotten when they're in-season, you can check when you try to shake a tree. Don't shake them too often though, its exhausting business!

Now you can put those delicious nuts on the ground to crack them (except Chestnuts, they're roasted) by pressing [SHIFT]+[V] on a surface, then taking your nut hammer and [SHIFT]+[RMB] on the nut. Not every nut is edible inside, you can expect to lose about half of them.
