The Settings tools

The Settings tools

This tool allows you to configure the generator.

Allow saving

This allows DDDG to store cookie data on your system. It stores the settings, and keeps track of packs that should automatically load on startup. (This is always active on Desktop, so it's not shown)

Deny saving

This retracts DDDG's permission to save data. All existing data will be deleted.

Enter DDLC Plus mode

Restarts the dialog generator in DDLC plus mode, which sets the resolution to 1920x1080 to emulate the look of DDLC plus.

Enter Classic Mode

Exits DDLC Plus mode and reduces the resolution to 1280x720.

Low quality preview

In the live preview, DDDG by default uses assets that are slightly lossy compressed. This is almost unnoticeable, but helps cut down on download times significantly. This has no influence on the final render. That will always use the fully quality assets. If you want to use those in the preview too, (and have enough bandwidth) uncheck this box.

NSFW mode

If you have played DDLC, (which you really should before using this editor) you know that it contains several disturbing images. Those are are not very often used and not everyone wants to be constantly confronted by those images.

If you enable NSFW mode, you will get access to all those assets.

Disabling NSFW mode will immediately remove all NSFW assets from all panels, by falling back to non-NSFW assets.

Enlarge talking objects

This is the default value for all objects whether they should get larger if they are selected as the current speaker of a textbox. This is how the game behaves, but is only a very slight detail in a custom dialogue.

Fault tolerant text parsing

Formatting in textboxes/poems/etc. follows a very strict syntax. If those syntax rules are broken, "fault tolerant text parsing" tries to make the best of it and continue to show the text. This is generally recommended for beginners. If you are struggling with getting the text parsing to work and want to see the error that causes it to fail, disable this property.

Theme

DDDG supports a dark and a light theme. By default, it uses your systems set preference. But you can also override it and select one yourself.
