COOKING TARO: Roasted Taro Snack

Ingredients

  • 1 taro. This was 2 lb.
  • Salt, water.

Steps

  1. Begin by removing the skin with a knife.
  2. Cut into 1 cm chunks.
  3. Soak in water to prevent oxidation.
  4. Boil 2L of water with 2 tsp of salt. Preheat oven to 450.
  5. Boil taro cubes for 10 minutes, or until fork tender. Don't cover, or it may boil over!
  6. On a greased cast iron / baking sheet, spread taro into one layer... and bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Flip them all over and bake another 10.
  8. Enjoy with soy sauce / oyster sauce / dipped in straight sugar!
