Beef, stir fried, cumin - ecnivo/Recipes GitHub Wiki

Serves 2.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cooking wine

  • 1 onion, sliced pole to pole
  • 2 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 1-2 tsp Szechuan chili powder, depending on spice level desired
  • 1/2-1 tsp Szechuan peppercorns
  • 1 tsp salt

Steps

  1. Start rice if pairing
  2. Marinate beef. Let rest 5-10 minutes. Prepare other ingredients in the meantime.
  3. Stir fry beef on high heat, optimizing for browning; it doesn't need to be cooked through.
  4. Remove beef, add a bit more oil, and stir fry onions on medium.
  5. When onions are slightly tender, add back beef, along with remaining spices.
  6. Serve on rice.
