Assembly - easymetal/Korrostop4.0-EN GitHub Wiki
Korrostop4.0 can be connected to the following E.KO IONISER systems:
-
E.KO IONISER 1501: Cover color yellow. Application: EDM - standard applications
-
E.KO IONISER 1502: Cover color gray. Application: EDM - Carbide
-
E.KO IONISER 1503: Cover color white. Application: Ultrapure water, process water, boiler feed water
The operation of Korrostop4.0 with other devices is not supported, as this may lead to the destruction of Korrostop4.0.
Assembly or connection of Korrostop4.0
The first steps are the same for E.KO IONISER 1501 / 1502 / 1503 :
- When the E.KO IONISER is installed for the first time, all the steps in the E.KO IONISER operating instructions must be carried out (especially flushing) before continuing with the next steps.
- Prepare both hose connections:
- Place a
white C11 1” flat gasketin theC7 – 3-stepped grommet 1" x 25/20/13. - Now put the
C8 – union nut for the stepped grommetonto theC7 – 3-stepped grommet 1" x 25/20/13. Then put theC9 – hose clamp ¾"orC10 – hose clamp ½", whichever fits your hose thickness, onto the hose. - Now put the hose on the
C7 – 3-stepped grommet 1" x 25/20/13and fasten it with theC9 – hose clamp ¾"orC10 – hose clamp ½".
- Place a
For E.KO IONISER 1501:

- Screw

C1 – LT connector ½" ET blackintoK4 – 1/2" connection 2. Please check the seat of the sealing ring ofK4 – 1/2" connection 2

- Connect the hose with stepped grommet, which supplies the untreated water, to
K1 – water connection 1and screw it on with theC8 – union nut for the stepped grommet - Connect the hose with the stepped grommet, which brings the treated water to the machine, to
K2 – water connection 2and screw it on withC8 – union nut for the stepped grommet
For E.KO IONISER 1502 / 1503: (the two connections are reversed here, compared to 1501)

- Screw

C2 – LT connector ½" ET blackintoK4 – 1/2" connection 2. Please check the seat of the sealing ring ofK4 – 1/2" connection 2

- Connect the hose with the stepped grommet, which brings the treated water to the machine, to
K1 – water connection 1and screw this withC8 - union nut for the stepped grommet - Connect the hose with stepped grommet, which supplies the untreated water, to
K2 - water connection 2and screw it on with theC8 union nut for the stepped grommet
The next steps for E.KO IONISER 1501 / 1502 / 1503 are the same:
- Take the
M1 – measuring device Korrostop4.0by theK6 – handle and plugit into the E.KO IONISER until you feel or hear the plug connections engage. - If you want to connect to the
M1 – Korrostop4.0 measuring devicevia LAN, plug your network cable plug intoK9.3 – network connector. To connect to your local network, please consult your in-house IT expert. For cable routing, use a pair of pointed pliers to remove the predetermined breaking points of the prefabricated cable bushings on theK9 – cover for extension plug - Insert the plug of the
M2 – power supplyunit into theK8 – power connection socketand then theM2 – power supply unitinto the wall socket. Shortly after this, the screen becomes active. - Assembly is completed. You can now continue with Software and settings.
Removal of the Korrostop4.0
To disconnect Korrostop4.0 from the E.KO IONISER press the two EASY quick couplings and simultaneously pull the M1 measuring device Korrostop4.0 away from the E.KO IONISER. Never remove the two C7 3-stage step grommets before the EASY quick-disconnect couplings have been opened and the M1 measuring device Korrostop4.0 has been removed. (Water leakage due to flow)

Note:
- The
M1 - Korrostop4.0 measuring deviceis designed exclusively for operation in conjunction with an E.KO IONISER . The use ofM1 - Korrostop4.0 measuring deviceon other deionizing systems is not permitted. IfM1 - Korrostop4.0 measuring deviceis operated illicitly in conjunction with third-party products (deionizing systems), license fees will be incurred as subsequently charged costs which are only covered in conjunction with the E.KO IONISER 1501/1502/1503. - Operating the
M1 - Korrostop4.0 measuring devicein conjunction with other products (deionizing systems) will render the warranty void. - Observe all regulations and internal company rules when handling water and electricity!
- Water and power connections must always be made by professionals.
- All connections must be checked for leaks before operation. Pay particular attention to the seating of the sealing rings of
K3 - 1/2" connection 1andK4 - 1/2" connection 2 - Network connections must be carried out by IT professionals to ensure the integrity of the network.
- Make sure that the measuring device is always dry.
- The socket for the
M2 power supply unitmust be installed so that no water comes into contact with the socket in the event of water leakage. - Only the
M2 power supply unitsupplied with the measuring device may be used. Other makes do not work. - If the housing of the
M1 Korrostop4.0 measuring deviceis opened by untrained personnel, the warranty shall be rendered void. - Network cable, USB cable and SD card are not included in the delivery.
- The
M3 USB stick, as well as USB sticks in general, are not meant to be plugged into theM1 Korrostop4.0 measuring device. This can lead to unexpected errors. - Route the cable from the
M2 power supply unitand all hoses to theM1 - Korrostop4.0 measuring deviceso that employees do not trip over them. The cable must not be installed together with other cables carrying live voltage. - If you notice any malfunctions (e.g. water leakage, mechanical defects in the housing, etc.) do not continue to use Korrostop4.0 under any circumstances. You can continue to operate your machine with the components of the Connect connection kit until the Korrostop4.0 has been replaced.
Possible faults and causes:
K5 touch screenremains black: Check if theK9.1 - operating displayis lit. If not, the measuring device has no current. Possible causes: The power outlet does not carry current (the voltage may not be within specification) or theM2 power supply unitis defective. If neither is the case, the measuring device is defective and must be replaced. Other possible causes: TheM2 power supply unitof theM1 Korrostop4.0 measuring devicewas not plugged in properly. Insert the plug fully into the 'socket'.- Water leakage from
K1 water connection 1orK2 water connection 2: the seal is not properly fitted or it is missing. The screw connection was not tightened firmly enough. - Water leakage from
K3 - 1/2" connection 1orK4 - 1/2" connection 2: the seal is not fitted properly or it is missing. The screw connection was not tightened firmly enough. Screw joints should not be tightened with water pump pliers!
