Earth Lab/ESIIL Slack and Listservs

Slack

"Earth Lab" Slack: All Earth Lab and ESIIL members (who are local) are part of this workspace. Use the #general channel to communicate with the entire team. The intention is to keep this workspace for internal communication - please don't invite people outside our team to this group.

"ESIIL Network" Slack: This is a slack workspace for the growing ESIIL network (>200 members). It includes ESIIL staff, postdocs, as well as members of the broader ESIIL community. Please be aware that when you post to the #general channel, everyone can see that post. There is a private #esiil-team channel that includes all ESIIL staff and postdocs (local and remote) that you can use to communicate with just the ESIIL internal team.

Email Listservs

Anyone is able to send an email to the listservs that they are members of, so feel free to use them to pass along events, opportunities, requests, etc. CU uses Google Groups for listservs- you can manage which ones you're part of and see a list of current members for each group here: https://groups.google.com/my-groups (need to be logged into CU account).

  • [email protected]: Includes everyone (staff, researchers, postdocs, grad students) who works locally at Earth Lab and ESIIL (but NOT remote ESIIL staff)
  • [email protected]: Includes the same people as above, in addition to the NC CASC people with SEEC offices (everyone located in the Earth Lab, ESIIL, & NC CASC office suites)
  • [email protected]: Includes Earth Lab (only) postdocs and research scientists
  • [email protected]: Includes all of the ESIIL team (local and remote)

We also have listservs to send broad announcements out to the larger Earth Lab and ESIIL communities. Please contact Alison (Earth Lab) or Rachel (ESIIL) to send announcements to those larger groups.
