My Hiring Philosophy
Here are three questions that I always ask a candidate, and believe can help assess a candidate’s achievements, approach to problem-solving, and capacity for self-reflection:
- What is the accomplishment from your past professional experience that you're most proud of, and why?
- Can you walk me through the steps you took to achieve that accomplishment?
- If you had the chance to tackle that accomplishment again, is there anything you would do differently?
I will ask three questions to myself:
- What will this candidate bring to the team and company's growth in the long run?
- Will I regret if the candidate is hired by competitors?
