Welcome to MATH332, Introduction to Linear Algebra!

Linear algebra is one of the most fascinating and useful branches of mathematics. It is a foundational part of a variety of fields, including differential equations, structural engineering, and data science. All of artificial intelligence (AI) is built on linear algebra. Here are a few of our favorite linear algebra memes:

We will learn three big things with linear algebra in this class: (1) theory, (2) computation, and (3) application. The theory - definitions and theorems - and the computations are the necessary machinery that allows us to use and understand the applications.

We will go through 7 modules in this course. The modules are listed in the Table of Contents to the right.
