Wharton sent regards to a Mr Chappell from himself and Mr Chappell's man. A possible match is Arthur Chapell, merchant of Sherborne Lane, London, who contributed a horse on the Propositions ridden by John Price.[1] Sherborne Lane is very close to St Swithin's Lane.
