Backing Up Your sBitx SD Card
This procedure works for both the 32-bit as-shipped radio and the 64-bit version.
Creating a full backup of your SD card inside the sBitx is useful if you need to restore factory settings later.
What You Need
- A blank USB storage drive (32GB or larger)
⚠️ This process will erase all data on the USB drive! - A USB mouse
- sBitx
Backup Procedure
- Power on the sBitx.
- Insert the USB storage drive into an available USB port.
- Open the menu and select:
Accessories → SD Card Copier - Set Copy From Device to the internal storage (usually /dev/mmcblk0).
- Set Copy To Device to the USB storage drive (usually /dev/sda).
- Click Start – this process may take a while, so be patient.
- When complete, remove the USB drive and store it safely for future use.
Now you have a full backup of your sBitx SD card, ready for restoration if needed. 🚀
