Viewing and Saving Logs via Web Interface
This method allows you to view and download debug logs directly from the SmartSpin2k web interface. It is recommended to use two devices for this process: one mobile device to control the SmartSpin2k (via the Companion App) and a second device (laptop or tablet) to view and save the logs in a browser. Prerequisites
Device 1: Phone or tablet with the SmartSpin2k Companion App installed.
Device 2: A computer, phone, or tablet with a web browser.
Network: Ensure the SmartSpin2k is connected to your local 2.4GHz WiFi or you are connected directly to the SmartSpin2k hotspot.
-
Connect the SmartSpin2k
Connect the SmartSpin2k power.
Use the Companion app to connect your SmartSpin2k to your local WiFi by configuring the SSID and password for your network on the settings page.
Reboot and ensure it connects to your home WiFi.
-
Open the Log Interface (Device 2)
On your secondary device (browser), navigate to: http://smartspin2k.local/status.html
Scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see the Debug Console and a Save Log button.
Important: Leave this page open the entire time while capturing logs. It will capture events in real-time.
-
Preform whatever actions need to be logged.
Press the Save Log button.
*Note, you can also preform this by connecting a laptop directly to the SmartSpin2k WiFi hotspot if you do not wish to connect the SmartSpin2k to your home network.
