  • Joined LRDE (Electronic Radar Development Establishment) near Raj Bhavan in Bangalore. Across our builing was ADE (Aeronautics Development Establishment). I was thrilled to be working in an Analog Computer Group as a Chargeman (they had strange job titles back then).
  • When I walked into the two room building there were two guys flipping switches looking at lights and constantly calling out something in Octal. I had no idea what was going on.
  • I was given a seat and found a couple of others. I walked up to one of them and said that I am new and what should I do. He smiled at me, gave me a book (Ivan Flores) and told me "Design a Channel Controller".
