Unique Spells

Available Level 1

Frost Strike

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Frost Rune on hit
  • Weapon Attack
  • Chill your weapon with icy power and strike an enemy for a bonus 1d4 Cold damage and slow their movement speed by 3m for 2 turns.

Death Strike

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Blood Rune on hit
  • Weapon Attack
  • A deadly strike that deals an extra 1d4 Force damage and heals you for 1d4 hit points. If you already have full hit points, gain 4 temporary hit points instead.

Death Coil

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Unholy Rune
  • Constitution Saving Throw, Half Damage on Success, 12m Range
  • Release a blast of unholy energy, causing 3d4 Necrotic damage to an enemy target or restoring 3d4 hit points to an allied Undead target.

Available Level 2

Anti-Magic Shell

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Unholy Rune
  • Concentration, 10 Turn Duration
  • Become Resistant to all damage that is not Bludgeoning, Piercing or Slashing.

Death's Advance

  • Costs 1 Bonus Action, 1 Any Rune
  • Lasts 1 Turn
  • Double your movement speed. Your movement speed can't be reduced by Difficult Terrain, spells, or magical effects. You can't be moved against your will.

Chains of Ice

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Frost Rune
  • Strength Saving Throw, 18m range
  • Shackles the target with frozen chains, dealing 3d4 Cold Damage and possibly restraining them.

Death and Decay

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Blood or Unholy Rune
  • Concentration, 9m range, 4m radius
  • Corrupts the targeted ground for 10 turns; it damages enemies for 1d4 Necrotic Damage per turn and becomes Difficult Terrain for them.
  • You can recast this spell using a Bonus Action to shift your corrupted ground.

Mind Freeze

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Frost Rune
  • Saving Throw, 18m range
  • Break a target's Concentration and possibly prevent them from casting spells for 2 turns.

Path of Frost

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Frost Rune
  • Melee Range, Lasts until Long Rest
  • Grant a target immunity to the effects of ice surfaces.

Available Level 3

Death Grip

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Any Rune
  • Strength Saving Throw, 12m range
  • Harnesses the energy that surrounds and binds all matter, drawing a target toward a position of your choice within 2m of you.
  • The DC of this Spell is equal to your total Strength Ability Score.

Sacrifical Pact

  • Costs 1 Bonus Action, 1 Blood Rune
  • 9m Range
  • Destroy a summoned Undead ally to recover half your hit points.

Blood Only

Marrowrend

  • Costs 1 Action, 2 Blood Runes on hit
  • Weapon Attack
  • Smash the target, dealing an extra 2d4 Force damage and gaining 8 temporary hit points.

Heart Strike

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Blood Rune on hit
  • Weapon Attack
  • Strike the target with a bonus 1d4 Force Damage. If you're within Death and Decay, also deal 1d4 Force Damage to all enemies within 3m.

Frost Only

Howling Blast

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Frost Rune
  • Constitution Saving Throw, 9m range, 3m AOE
  • Blast the target with a frigid wind, dealing 2d4 Cold Damage and inflicting targets with Frost Fever.
  • Full damage and 5 turn duration on failed save, half damage and 2 turn duration on succeeded save

Obliterate

  • Costs 1 Action, 2 Frost Runes on hit
  • Weapon Attack
  • A brutal attack that deals a bonus 3d4 Cold damage.
  • When dual wielding, instead hits with both weapons for half damage each

Frostscythe

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Frost Rune
  • Weapon Attack, 3 targets within cone for half weapon damage
  • A sweeping attack that strikes up to 3 enemies in front of you for an additional 1d4 Cold damage.

Unholy Only

Outbreak

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Unholy Rune
  • Constitution Saving Throw, 9m range, 3m AOE
  • Deal 3d4 Necrotic damage to the target and infect it and nearby enemies with Virulent Plague.
  • Full damage and 5 turn duration on failed save, half damage and 2 turn duration on succeeded save

Festering Strike

  • Costs 1 Action, 2 Unholy Runes on hit
  • Weapon Attack
  • Strikes for an extra 2d4 Necrotic Damage and infects the target with a Festering Wound for 3 turns. When the wound expires, they take a further 2d4 Necrotic Damage.

Scourge Strike

  • Costs 1 Action, 1 Unholy Rune on hit
  • Weapon Attack
  • An unholy strike that deals an extra 1d4 Necrotic Damage, plus an additional 1d4 Necrotic Damage for each Disease applied to the target.

Available Level 7

Anti-Magic Zone

  • Costs 1 Action, 2 Any Runes
  • Concentration, 9m range, 3m AOE
  • Create a barrier that makes creatures inside Resistant to all damage that is not Bludgeoning, Piercing or Slashing.

Diseases

Blood Plague

  • Draining 1d4Force damage per turn. Has Disadvantage on Attack Rolls against targets other than the Death Knight.

Frost Fever

  • Movement speed reduced by 3m. Takes 1d4Cold damage per turn.

Virulent Plague

  • Takes 1d4Necrotic damage per turn. On death, deal 3m to creatures within %!s(MISSING) and possibly infect them with Virulent Plague.

Festering Wound

  • Disadvantage on Constitution Saving Throws. On removal, takes 2d4Necrotic damage. Further attacks from the Death Knight hasten removal by 1 turn.
