How was it born?
The documenti_aperti project is born as a fork of the paesaggi_aperti project, created by the National Center of Research of Florence as a mean to let researchers not only to share their scientific reports, but also everything that has been done behind the research. Documenti Aperti follows this idea and wants to offer a way to answer the loss and forgetfulness of old texts.
What does it offer in particular?
Documenti Aperti offers tools for storing documents, extract text from them, share and modifying them, to create a community where everyone helps each other and making old texts popular again.
What are the main users?
We made Documenti Aperti with the initial intention to help researchers that want to share the path behind their discoveries. During the development we also decided to make of Documenti Aperti an open community of users that can help each other.
Which license does Documenti Aperti use?
Documenti Aperti was published with the MIT License, the same license that Gitea uses.
