The messages.yml file is located in /plugins/IllegalStack/messages.yml and can be used to change almost all messages sent by the plugin to your chosen layout/language/format, the messages file does support color codes however if you edit any values it is suggested to wrap the value in single quotes ' ' like the very first option listed in the file.
Several placeholders are used to send data to the messages, you'll want to keep these in the messages regardless of your changes in most cases.
~author~ --> A books author (only applies to book protections)
~name~ --> A player or entity's name that triggered the message.
~contents~ --> Contents of an item frame.
~removedblocks~ --> A list of blocks removed by a protection.
~item~ --> The item type affected by a protection.
~vehicle~ --> The type/name of a vehicle an entity has mounted.
~amount~ --> The amount of a ~item~
~block~ -> the block type of a block.
@ --> The location where a exploit happened.
~value~ --> Value of a option (staff commands only)
~protection~ --> The Protection affected (staff commands/in game editor only)
~status~ --> The status of a protection, ie ON / OFF for the in game editor.

SignKickPlayerMsg: Placing signs with unicode characters is NOT permitted.
ShulkerClick: 'Removed a shulker box from inside another shulker box clicked by: ~name~'
ItemFrameRemoveOnExtend: removed an item frame containing - ~contents~ on the back
of a retracting piston @
ItemFrameRemoveOnRetract: removed an item frame containing - ~contents~ pulled by
