To read a Mega Drive cartridge you must set the config switches like this:

Next plug the Mega Drive cartridge into the MD slot of the cartridge reader. Currently only standard cartridges without any special mapper chips are supported.

Mega Drives saves and Emus:

Some emulators use 16bit-wide save games although the SRAM in the cartridge is only 8bit-wide. You can convert save games between the Cart Reader and the Emulator with these two programs, just drag&drop the save onto the *.exe.
