- From the GTV/ATV main menu, go to: Settings > Privacy (GTV) / Device Preferences (ATV) > Usage & Diagnostics > Turn it Off.
- (GTV) Click the Back button once.
- (ATV) Click the Back button twice.

GTV ONLY! Ads > enable the Opt out of Ads Personalization.
- Click the Back button once.
- Apps > Special app access > Usage access
- Uncheck the following apps: Google, Google Play services, Google Play Store, (GTV ONLY!) Google TV.
- Click the Back button once.
- GTV ONLY! Notification access > uncheck Google TV.
- Press the Home button to return to the main menu.
If you are upgrading Wolf Launcher to a newer version, it is recommended that you first uninstall the old version and then install the new version. Click on the collapsible section below for upgrade instructions. |

- How to check which version you currently have installed:
- From the home screen, press and hold the OK button for the side menu to appear > Android Settings > Apps > Wolf Launcher (might need to click See all apps if you do not see it) > the version number will be listed at the top.
Instructions for Wolf Launcher version 0.1.7 and below!
- Launch the Launcher Manager App (looks like a yellow settings wheel inside a blue background).
- Depending on the Android version you have, you will need to choose either ENABLE STOCK LAUNCHER or DISABLE CUSTOM LAUNCHER.
- You will notice that the Current Launcher is now back to the default Android TV or Google TV depending on your ATV version.
- Press the Home button to exit to your default stock home screen.
- Launch the Unlinked app and enter the DIKO+ repository.
- If you get a notification of an update to the Unlinked app, make sure to install it and relaunch Unlinked again once done.
- Install the Wolf Manager app under the Tools & Utilities section.
- NOTE! This manager app unlocks the option in Wolf Launcher to backup or restore the launcher settings and configuration.
- When done, exit back to the Home screen.
- Launch the Wolf Manager app (looks like a blue W inside a white background).
- If you tried multiple background images on your device before choosing the final one, it would be wise to clear the image cache from all none-used images.
- Click on the CLEAR CACHE option at the bottom.
- Click on BACKUP to run the backup process. The process is quick and you will see a short notification saying that it successfully completed.
- Exit the Wolf Manager app to go back to the device home screen.
- If you tried multiple background images on your device before choosing the final one, it would be wise to clear the image cache from all none-used images.
- From the GTV/ATV main menu, go to: Settings > Apps > Wolf Manager > Uninstall > OK.
- While still in the apps section, also uninstall the Launcher Manager app.
- Go back to the Home screen and launch the Unlinked app store to install both "Launcher Manager" & "Wolf Launcher" for your device specific platform.
- Exit the Unlinked app once done to go back to the Home screen.
- Continue to the next steps in this guide.
Instructions for Wolf Launcher version 0.1.8 and above!
- From the home screen, press and hold the OK button for the side menu to appear > Other Settings > Backup.
- This is an almost instantaneous process that creates a configuration backup of all the customization that you have made to avoid having to do it all over again.
- Press the Back button to return to the Home screen.
- Launch the Launcher Manager app > Disable Custom Launcher.
- You may be asked to Allow USB debugging. If you are, press the OK button to check the Always allow from this computer checkbox. Then press ALLOW.
- Press the Home button. You will now notice that you're back on the default stock home launcher.
- From the GTV/ATV main menu, go to: Settings > Apps > Wolf Launcher > Uninstall > OK.
- While still in the apps section, also uninstall the Launcher Manager app.
- Go back to the Home screen and launch the Unlinked app store to install both "Launcher Manager" & "Wolf Launcher" for your device platform.
- If you get a notification of an update to the Unlinked app, make sure to install it and relaunch Unlinked again once done.
- Exit the Unlinked app once done to go back to the Home screen.
- Continue to the next steps in this guide.
- Launch the Launcher Manager app (looks like a white or a White settings wheel inside a blue square).
- You can see which Home Launcher is currently being used. The default ACTIVE stock launcher for GTV is the Google TV and for ATV is Android TV Home.
- Click on: Custom Launcher Options.
- Click on Active Launcher at the bottom to open the dropdown list. Select Wolf Launcher.
- Click the Back button once on your remote.
- Click on: Enable Custom Launcher.
- Upon initial launch you may be asked to Allow USB debugging.
- Press the OK button to check the Always allow from this computer checkbox. Then press ALLOW.
- You can now see that the ACTIVE Launcher has changed to Wolf Launcher.
- Upon initial launch you may be asked to Allow USB debugging.
- Press the Home button on your remote. You will see the new interface appear.
- The default view of Wolf Launcher simply has all the apps under a single section called Applications as well as a default top widget section, with no widgets in it.
If you have just completed to upgrade your Wolf Launcher, please click on this collapsible section to expose the additional steps needed to restore your configuration.
- While one of the apps in the Application section is highlighted (do not launch it), press and hold the OK button for the side menu to appear > Other Settings (you may be prompt to allow access to files, select Allow and you need to get to here again!) > Restore.
- This will automatically reload your previous configuration and reload the Home screen with it.
- Note that the widgets section does not reload any previously configured widgets. You will need to pick the widgets for it again (steps are below).
