Optional (but recommended...) Steps

Click on any one of these optional steps below to collapse its options and steps.

You can configure additional settings for the streaming entertainment apps when you go into their settings section.

Each app options may vary from one to another. Settings are usually accessed through the menu on the top left or right corner.
Some examples of options you may consider changing are:

  • Default play action – to just play or automatically ask for subtitles before playing.
  • Filter out certain quality level of streams.
  • Default initial home screen - if you prefer the home screen to show Movies vs TV Shows and which filter to apply.
  • Subtitle languages to look for – you can choose multiple languages.
  • Configure Trakt support – you can use the account to login in the app, if you created one.

Israeli content specific instructions.
  1. IsraTV is the simplest way to get live Israeli TV channels. The app is no longer updated, so I cannot guaranty its behavior at this point.
  2. MediaBox is a great platform to view live TV channels from Israel. It also includes content from Live channels, Movies and TV Shows from both Israel and globally. The one major benefit of MediaBox is that it uses Telegram as one of its major content searching. It does require a free Telegram account. If you do not already have one, please download and install Telegram on your phone and sign up for an account.
    1. If one of the live channels does not seem to work, you can try to press and hold the OK button to present the available sources for that channel. If it has multiple sources then try to switch to another one and see if the solves the issue.
    2. In order to search and view movies and TV shows in MediaBox app, you will need to login to the TeleMedia option in their menu.
      1. Launch the MediaBox app, on the right, scroll down to TeleMedia > connect to account (on the left) > supply your Telegram account phone number.
      2. Use the following format (examples!):
        1. IL number example: +972505556677
        2. US number example: +12141119876
      3. You will receive a message in your Telegram app (ON YOUR PHONE/COMPUTER/LAPTOP) with a validation code number.
      4. Input that code number back on your device waiting for that code in the MediaBox app.
      5. Now, under either the "Sratim" or the "Sdarot" sections, the first two options (The Movie DB) will find sources from Telegram as well.
  3. In order to watch shows in the Sdarot-TV app, you will need the Sdarot account you created earlier.
    1. Launch the Sdarot app. If prompt to approve the VPN usage, click Approve to use VPN in the app.
    2. Login with your Sdarot account to enable watching content as well as remembering viewing history within the app.
      1. If registering for an account fails within the app, you can go to their website (https://www.sdarot.tv/login) to create a free account and then login with it in the app.
