Teaching Modality - digshake/CSE131-Redesign GitHub Wiki

Current plan is to stick with lecture / studio format:

  • Students seem to prefer live lectures in addition to recorded lecture content

  • Studio is still a very powerful learning experience

  • Faculty can get involved either helping students in the labs or via guest lectures

From our overview of other universities, this seems to be the predominant form of teaching modality, however there are others. Should we investigate other models such as an asynchronous or competency based model?
