The sigN2 genomic sequence has been sequenced in L. Sastre's lab as reported in PMID:18173832.
Below find the reported, correct protein sequence.

sigN2 and all other Group 1 sig genes start with nearly the same fist amino acids, we do not have the sigN2 cDNA, however, below are the 5' nucleotide sequences of sigN2 and sigN3 alined, according to PMID:18173832 they have the same first 20 amino acids; there are several mismatches and a 3 nt deletion in the genomic sequence.
