Dicty's single E2F is likely to be an "activator E2F" rather than an "inhibitor E2F" see Trimarchi and Lees, Sibling rivalry in the E2F family. Nat. Rev. Mol. Cell Biol. 3 (2001) as it has both a perfect-match 9-amino acid transactivation signal (GVLDLKVAS) 17467953 and a strong nuclear localization signal (TRKRRS).
