Fenix — Documentation
Fenix is an industrial communication platform for monitoring and controlling devices over Modbus and Siemens S7 protocols. It lets you read data from PLCs, sensors and actuators, visualize it in real time, log it to a database, and expose it via a REST API.
What Fenix Can Do
- Communicate with devices over Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII and Siemens S7-300/400
- Display live data in tables and charts
- Store historical data in a local SQLite database
- Run custom C# scripts for automation and data processing
- Expose all data through a REST API for web dashboards and third-party integration
- Run as a desktop client, a background server, or a headless web host
Applications
| Application | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Fenix | Desktop app — create projects, configure devices, watch live data, write scripts |
| FenixServer | Server app — runs in the background, hosts the REST API, ideal for gateways |
| FenixServer.Api | REST API + standalone console host — HTTP access to all device data. Can run headless. |
