Assignment: Packet Tracer - 2 Router Lab

Objectives: Identify the need for routing protocols and their role in internetworks with multiple routers.

Goals:

• Observe the need and purpose of routing protocols.
• Extend the switched network form the previous lab to include a second router.
• Configure RIP to support route propagation for non-directly connected networks

router rip

network <network_address>

Sets the network/networks to be advertised.

• Go to physical on the router, turn off power, use module NIM-2T
• Make sure frequency's of the routers match

clock rate <clockrate>

Assigns the clock rate (frequency)

• Connect routers together with serial DCE using the serial ports.
