Assignment Building a WLAN in Packet Tracer:

Overview:

• Configure a wireless router with security, as well as clients.

Helpful Tips:

Make sure to set a password for the wireless network. Make sure IP addresses are correct, and make sure subnets are matching. This is imperative in order for connection's to happen.

Wireless Router Configuration:

Wireless router internet:

• Go to router GUI.
• Set internet connection to static.
• Configure internet IP address.

Wireless router LAN:

• Scroll down to Network Setup.
• Set IP to LAN address and netmask.
• Enable DHCP.

Configure Wireless Security:

• Disable SSID broadcast.
• Make Security WPA2 Personal.
• Make secure Password.
• Don't forget to save settings.

Configure Wireless Client:

Manual configuration is needed because there is no SSID broadcasting

• Go to desktop, PC Wireless.
• Make a new profile.
• Enter network Details, save and connect
