According to Ledger, to keep your Ledger Nano X battery healthy, you’ll need to store your device in an environment where the humidity is between “40% and 80%” and the ambient temperature is between “20°C (68°F) and 25°C (77°F).”
So, by not charging your device frequently, you can prevent its battery from damaging. But in the case that you are experiencing errors such as “Battery cannot charge” or “Battery problem: charging stopped”, this guide will help you troubleshoot this issue.

Before you start
- Make sure that your Ledger Nano X is running the latest firmware.
Here’s what to do
The error you’re receiving can determine the best way to troubleshoot it. Below are ways to fix them.
- Use the navigation button on your Ledger Nano X to dismiss the error message.
- Plug the device and let it charge for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Once your Ledger device has charged for a while, unlock it and go to the control center.
- Select “Power Off” to turn off the device.
- Now, wait for the device to restart.
- If the issue persists, restart your Ledger device again.
Note: You should not use your device in a low or high-temperature environment, near cold or heat sources. If you are, unplug it, move it away from the near cold or heat source, and try charging it again.
