Fields used in Caseflow Queue and their sources:

• Type: This describes the character of the appeal, and helps users evaluate the urgency around the appeal.
  • Advanced on the Docket (AOD): these are the highest priority case at the Board. Veterans can be "advanced on the docket" due to age, financial hardship, terminal illness, etc. and therefore skip ahead in the line
  • Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC): these are cases that have come back to the Board from CAVC and are second highest in priority
  • Original: An appeal coming through the Board for the first time
  • Post Remand: An appeal that's back at the Board after a remand was resolved at VBA/a Regional Office
