Goblins

Found deep in the caverns of Omniluxia, the Goblins are a mainly tribal people with an infamous reputation of bloodthirsty savages. Only gaining sentience relatively recently, Goblinic civilization isn't much greater than a few communities of small settlements, however their reputation as ruthless killers stems from their feral past.

Magical Affinity & Development

A deformed people, the Goblins were Wishtheon's first attempt at creating humanity. This attempt was foiled by the jealous Mother Earth, who disfigured them and cast them into the caves of Omniluxia. As a result of their malformation, their mana stores were botched, meaning that they are almost non-existent and can't be restored by eating. This means that spellcasting is physically impossible for pure-blood goblins, who's magical community and development in turn doesn't exist. Abandoned and falling into despair and savagery, the Goblins were saved by Melodius, who took pity on them and granted then a unique gift in exchange for some of their lifespan, as the goblins can absorb the mana of sentient creatures by consuming their hearts. Through this process which took millennia, the Goblins, a people who were borderline animals, became more sentient and civilized at the exchange of a brutal legacy and reputation among all other sentient races. However, recent interbreeding with the Dolin Silver Dwarfs has shown that Goblins of “mixed blood” are still born Goblinic, however they inherit the mana reserves of the race they interbreed with as well as the ability to regain mana through consuming food, bringing new hope to this forsaken race.
