Magical Development Ranking

Through meticulous research, the Chroniclers have been able to put together a ranking system for the Magical Development of each species at around the year 1000 LC. The races will be judged based on Quality of Education, Innovation, Quantity of Domestic Schools, and Quantity of Mages, with each category being ranked on a scale of 1-5:

• 5

Exceptional Education / Most Innovative / Large Selection of Schools / Large Quantity of Mages

• 4

Decent Education / Innovative / Multiple of Schools / Decent Quantity of Mages

• 3

Basic Education / Up to Date / One or Two Major Schools / Small Quantity of Mages

• 2

Restricted Curriculum / Behind / Reliant on Foreign Schools / Few Folk Mages

• 1

No Education / Backwards / No Schooling / No Mages

In addition to this scale, each species receives an extra .5 to their ranking if they independently developed a domestic style/technique of their own. Adding together the points each race has scored, we can determine the level of their magical development:

• Level 4 : 16-20

Most developed and prestigious

• Level 3 : 11-15

Decently developed with prominent mages

• Level 2 : 6-10

Magic restricted to a scarce few

• Level 1 : 0-5

Undeveloped, species possibly not magical
