Smart home research:
With the continuous updating and rapid development of technology, especially the 5G technology that will be commercialized in the past two years - compared to 4G, not only will the rate increase significantly. There are two other characteristics: the main body of the Internet will change. In the past, the main body of the Internet was a human being, and the 5G Internet main body will become a thing, realizing the connection of objects; low latency will also be another major feature of 5G, low latency. The benefit is that you can quickly develop technologies like remote surgery and autopilot. Of course, the rapid development of machine learning, big data, cloud computing, etc. will lay the foundation for the interconnection of smart homes.
We know that the current smart home tends to be scened, similar to entertainment scenes, sleep scenes, medical scenes and many other different scenes.
The smart home products are rich, providing a more comfortable, convenient and energy-saving humanized living environment in many different scenarios. The different products of smart homes are interconnected to form different systems, gradually shifting from mobile phone control to voice control to a more natural human-computer interaction mode such as self-learning automatic control.
At present, the control of smart homes is mostly mobile phones, touch screens and other devices. And each vendor's control app is different. The problem with this model is that the products between different vendors are incompatible and the user's choice rights are greatly reduced. With the construction and continuous improvement of the smart home platform, the products between different manufacturers can also be opened, and the mobile phones as the current smart terminals will gradually be replaced by other more suitable smart home products.
The development trend of a smart home can be seen from two aspects: product form and control mode. From the product form, the smart home is divided into three stages:
The first stage: single product intelligence.
The second stage: the interconnection between the individual products, the interconnection of different categories to different brands in the data, and the integration and interaction in the data.
The third stage: the system is intelligent. At this stage, not only can data be fused and interacted, but also active interaction based on data, without the need for interference.
The premise of realizing system intelligence is the interconnection of data between different products and different brands, and this requires all products to be on the same platform and follow the same rules. This means that the host/gateway that different manufacturers have created can be grafted to this large platform in the future.
Visualization of household energy consumption:
a pilot system for the detailed management of domestic electricity consumption aimed at minimizing demand peaks and consumer cost. Management decisions are made both interactively by consumers themselves, and where practical, automatically by computer. These decisions are based on realtime pricing and availability information, as well as current and historic usage data. The benefits of the energy strategies implied by such a system are elaborated, showing the potential for significant peak demand reduction and slowing of the need for growth in generation capacity. An overview is provided of the component technologies and interaction methods we have designed, but the paper focuses on the communication of real-time information to the consumer through a combination of specific and ambient visualizations. There is a need for both overview information (eg how much power is being used right now; how much energy have we used so far today; what does it cost?) and information at the point-of-use (is it OK to turn this dryer on now, or should I wait until later?). To assist the design of these visualizations, a survey is underway aimed at establishing people's understanding of power and energy concepts.
