In week 7, For the design of the high fidelity model, each team member is required to provide a design solution that needs to focus on energy visualization, the theme of smart home, Allen puts forward a suggestion on the test method of the model: he suggested that the model should consist of operation and exhibition part.
For operation part
First of all, this part needs to show or simulate the family environment, and the designer can use the room structure diagram, or the chart to reflect. Since the purpose of the project is to help the family to develop energy-saving awareness, Allen's solution is to simulate everyday home appliances in this part, such as: air conditioning and air conditioner remote control, TV and TV remote control, microwave oven control panel, washing machine control. panel. All appliances can be classified by space, such as: living room, kitchen, bedroom, and laundry. the layout of room should be look like below:

After completing the design of all home appliances pictures, since a family space can be divided into different areas according to functions: for example: living room, bed room, kitchen, and so on. It is also necessary to make pictures of these areas.

In this area, the use of home appliances is mainly demonstrated through energy visualization. Through research, team member Edward found that for the average family, the detailed and professional use of electricity is not necessary, and family members often only need to know the results provided by the intelligent system rather than the process. Simple, easy-to-understand images are the best choice for the project, so the final emoji caught our attention. So we are going to use emoji to represent the use of electrical appliances at home:
