Weapons
Weapons in Breaking Point provide survivors with a myriad of death and carnage. The wide variety of the modern, cold war era and vintage firearms means that every player can find a weapon that will suit not only every kind of gameplay situation, but also individual tastes and preference. This is further ensured by wide variety of different types of available attachments and ammunition. From that first rusty Makarov PM to the endgame Negev NG-7 Zafir weapon system, see the navigation widget for a detailed list of available arms for each weapon type.

Finding Weapons
Weapons and ammunition for them can be found almost anywhere: From ramshackled village houses to high-end military bases, to stockpiles of world war era arms and ammunition to helicrash loot and supply drops. Several weapons have more than one variant, and each unique weapon has a range of spawn locations, conditions and rarity of chance of spawning. Several weapons are compatible with multiple types of attachments and ammunition magazines, including special rounds, with certain attachments and powerful rounds being extremely rare in availability.
Weapon variety
Many weapons come in several different variants, such as being fitted with bayonets or possessing reduced overall effectiveness caused by lack of maintenance in the tear of time. While these variants alone multiply the quantity of single instances of weapons to a considerable amount, the existence of multiple variants of special ammunition and magazines sizes allow an immense number of different weapon configurations: It's finally possible to gear up on a M4-300 Blackout MasterKey capable of firing .300 ammunition intended for the civilian rifle Remington 300 Blackout, or the 30 round magazines of its own, while sporting an underbarrel shotgun loaded with any of the three available shotgun cartridges while also supporting a number of regular range of rifle attachments and optics: The total number of possible variants of a single weapon can consist of hundreds of different configurations. Breaking Point also features a number of unique melee weapons, explosives and even throwing weapons, such as sledgehammers or I.E.D. booby traps. Even a brick or pot scavenged from a trash bin can be deadly weapon in skilled throwing hands, and players are advised to steer clear of hunters who might carry insidious throwables of their own.
Fire modes
Several weapons have different modes of fire which can be cycled through. In case of large rifles and weapons with bayonets or other armed attachments, these functions are also included in the fire mode cycling of Arma 3. Weapons with "melee" fire mode (and the melee weapons themselves) do not require ammunition in a gameplay sense but require their own unique automatically generated Melee Bag ammo because of a engine limitation.
