  1. A common method of categorizing security issues is the CIA triad : Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability. Which of these are affected if someone knows your campus login and password. Describe the risk. If someone knows your campus login and password, then your confidentiality, and integrity are affected, because they have access to your account and information. Your integrity is also affected because they can act as you and people would think that it was you. For example, they could get on campus by using your login without being authorized to be on campus.

In World War II, Enigma was an encrypting device. How was that encryption code broken? The Enigma encryption code was broken by reverse engineering it and by simulating multiple enigma codes simultaneously to test code settings and find patterns in the code to decrypt the messages.

Do some research on FERPA and how it relates to you.

FERPA is a law that protects a student's school records from being shared by the school to people other than the student and parents of the student. Once the student turns 18, parents are no longer able to view their child’s school records unless the student shares their school records with them. Schools are also required to get written permission to share the students personal information. Students and parents are able to change incorrect information as well.
