Game Mechanics

Player

Movement: The Player will move in the four primary compass directions: North; East; South; West, with each one corresponding to a side of the screen: North-Top; East-Right; South-Bottom; West-Left. Due to the movement being done with a Pogo-stick, movement should not be as free as the Uncharted or 3-D Zelda games; but it should not be as restricted as the movement in Frogger or Crypt of the Necrodancer. Movement should be akin to 2-D Zelda or Pacman (TBD).

Melee Attack: The Player will be able to attack enemies by swiping the space in front of the cat.

Health/Damage Taken: There will be 9 hits that a player can take (each cat has nine lives). Damage is caused by both enemies and obstacles.

Pogo-stick Collection: There will be multiple Pogo-sticks throughout the world, when a pogo-stick is collected, the cat will be able to cover more terrain and use new abilities. For example, the dirt pogo destroys dirt blocking your path.

Puzzle Elements:

Blocks: used in puzzles throughout the game. They are pushable blocks used in certain levels to discover items and open doors.

Quests: complete quests to advance further into the game and discover new items.

Quest List:
-Babs needs her toy! (find Babs toy using the drill pogo stick)
