There are two parallel functions available: from the Game view you can move a single game, and from the Exercise view you can move a single exercise.

Open the game and right-click to bring up the context menu. Select Game and then Move Game to Chapter (red below):
Select Target Chapter dialog box opens. Choose the required chapter or use Create New Chapter button to move the game to a brand new chapter. In our example, we select Chapter 3 (blue below) and press OK (red below):

Move Games and Exercises between Chapters
To move games or exercises from the current chapter to another, use the Move Games and Exercises Between Chapters function (red below). In our example, we move 2 games and 1 exercise from Chapter 6: Black Plays ♝b4 (green below) to Chapter 5: Black plays ♝g4 (green arrow below).
The system opens Select Items to Move dialog box, listing all games and exercises in the current chapter (green below). Move Games and Exercises from Identical Positions
Identify a relevant position (green below) and run Find Identical Positions function from the Edit menu (red below)
Chess Forge found all studies, games and exercises that have this particular position. Use Select to Copy or Move button (red below)
to open Select Items to Copy or Move dialog box. Use check boxes to select the items you need:
- global check box (blue below) will select/deselect all found games/exercises
- chapter check box (purple below) will select/deselect all games/exercises found in a specific chapter

If you have many chapters with many items you can double click on the Chapter name (orange above) to collapse/expand the items in that chapter. If the chapter is collapsed the chapter tick box indicates how the items in this chapter are selected:
- a tick in a white square indicates that all items in the chapter are selected (purple below)
- a tick in a grey square indicates that some items in the chapter are selected (orange below)
- empty white square indicates that no items in the chapter are selected (yellow below):
Once all the required games and exercises are selected press Move button (red above). System opens the Select Target Chapter dialog box. Select any existing chapter from the list (blue below) or use the Create New Chapter button (green below) and press OK (red below). In our example we will use New Chapter option:
