From the Tools menu run Delete Games (red below):

System displays the list of all games in the current chapter. Use Show All Chapters box to show games from all chapters (blue below). Place a checkmark against the games you want to delete (green below) and press Delete (red below):

The selected games are deleted. You can see that Chapter 2 has no games now (red below):

Removing Duplicates

You can remove duplicated games easily using the Remove Duplicates function from the Tools menu. In our example, the workbook contains 13 games of Fischer (green below). We run the Remove Duplicates function (red below).

The system opens the Remove Duplicates dialog, which displays the following information:

  • The number of duplicates found — in our example, two duplicate entries were detected (green below).
  • A warning that the selected items will be deleted (orange below).
  • A list of all duplicated games — for each group, the first instance is shown in bold, while all duplicates appear in regular font. By default, the original has its checkbox unticked, while all duplicate entries have their checkboxes ticked, meaning the system suggests keeping the original and deleting the duplicates. In our example, Game 2 from Chapter 1 (dark blue below) is duplicated twice, so the system suggests removing two duplicates (light blue below). Similarly, Game 4 from Chapter 1 (dark purple below) is duplicated once, so the system suggests removing one duplicate (light purple below).

The user can adjust the selections as desired, for example remove only some duplicates or remove all instances of that game entirely.

Once you are ready, press the Delete button (red above). The system removes 3 games: 2 duplicates of Game 2 and 1 duplicate of Game 4 from Chapter 1. After this, Chapter 1 contains 10 games (green below):
