Connecting Chess Forge to Chess Engine - czbar/ChessForge GitHub Wiki

By default, the Chess Forge distribution package installs the Stockfish engine. However, the user can connect Chess Forge to a different analysis engine. To do this:

1. Save the engine files on your computer.

In our example, Leela Engine files are saved in C:\Leela

 

2. Show the Open dialog

It can be done using View > Analysis Engine menu or the ellipsis button in Engine Executable field of the Engine Options dialog box (red below):

 

3. Point to the engine executable file and click Open button (red below)

 

In the Help->About dialog:

 

you can check which engine Chess Forge is running. See the screenshots of the About dialog box taken before (blue below) and after (red below) our engine change.
