Interface

Large Menu Font - if checked, a larger font size will be used in the main menu bar and in the context menus.

Wide Scrollbar - if checked, a wider scrollbar will be used in the main view.

Views

Show Moves at Fork - determines whether to display a helper table (also known as Edytrix) with options when multiple branches exist in the variation tree. The table is typically shown when there are three or more branches, but it can also appear with two branches that contain multiple sub-branches:

Show Material Imbalance - determines whether the top border of the main chessboard displays pieces captured by each side (White on the left, Black on the right) that have not been matched by the opponent. For example, if both sides capture one pawn each, nothing is shown. But if White captures a knight and Black captures a bishop, the left side displays the knight and the right side displays the bishop (red below)

Sound on - determines whether to play move sounds

Auto Thumbnails for Games

These settings apply only to games where the user has not manually set a thumbnail using the Chapter > Set Game Thumbnail function. When the user hovers over a specific game in the games list (red below), the system automatically shows a thumbnail of the position (green below) determined by the parameters below:

After Move No. – Specifies after which move the position is shown in the automatically generated thumbnail.

Made by White – Specifies whether the automatic thumbnail shows the position after a White or Black move.

Move Replay

Auto Speed - the pace at which the game is auto-replayed (e.g., after the user double clicks a move in the Scoresheet)

Allow Mouse Wheel - if checked, the mouse wheel can be used to scroll through the game notation.

Studies

Default Index Depth - determines the default maximum number of indexing levels to apply in newly created Studies and has no effect on already existing studies. If set to 0, no index will be shown initially. Note that while in the view, you can freely increase or decrease the number of levels.

Games and Exercises

Line break before comment - if checked, a line break will be added before and after comments for moves on the main line of Game or Exercise (purple below). Otherwise they will be placed inline (green below).

Extra spacing - only applicable if Line break before comment is checked; it increases the space above and below the comment line (purple below).
