Quantum -- Financial Planning/Budgeting App

Project Description

Build a React Native website that takes all the good parts of a budgeting app, but also ties in the capability to make a financial plan in the app too. You can set saving goals (ex. to buy a house or a car) and then track your progress and get estimated completion dates based on savings, investments, and other factors.

MVP – Basic Features of the website to work on initially:

• Ability to have a month budget
• Ability to set to savings goals and get forecasted completion dates based on amount saved each month (can play with amount to save each month and see completion date change in tandem)
• Add ability to link financial accounts
• Get website working

Additional Features that we can keep working on depending on our progress:

• Add visualizations
• Add ability to forecast savings goals based on possible interest from investments as well as savings.
• Get both iOS and Samsung apps working

Technical Requirements:

General:

• Host the website with an actual URL
• Setup request/response calls between server and client

Front-end:

• Develop website and apps with React Native

Back-end:

• Open to what technologies we want to use on the backend, but thinking some form of AWS.
