Deliverable 3: Requirements
Initial Demo:
Desktop point-and-click game functionality using Godot, keeping track of the current scene and path. Some key scene art, but no animations yet
- learn godot, create underlying story-path architecture with simple buttons that each go to a different scene
- design storyline
- create static art for most important scenes
Second Demo:
Desktop point-and-click game with some animatics scenes. Only the most important scenes will exist for this demo. Functionality includes local saves. Every planned scene should have a placeholder scene with simple buttons. The game will have multiple endings and the user can play through each ending without closing the game
- implement placeholder scenes
- figure out local saves in godot
- create animatics for key scenes
- make game endings
Final Product:
Desktop point-and-click game with some animated scenes and the rest with animatics. Every scene in the storyboard will have at least animatics. Functionality includes local saves, a home screen, and a map detailing which story paths the user has already completed. Implement timed scenes that require quick reflexes to push one of the buttons. Add a completion bonus for a user who can get every possible ending and every possible failed path.
- figure out timed scenes
- create animations or animatics for all scenes
- create home page and map
What it isn't:
- no website
- no complex game mechanics (point and click)
- no 3d animations or 3d visuals
- not a 100% animated game. Most scenes use animatics.
