Infernal Paladin - A Souls-like 2D Platformer

I propose we develop a video game that is a Souls-like 2D Platformer.

The object of the game would be to fight enemies to increase in strength so as to fight bosses scattered throughout a game world. The player would risk losing progress towards their next increase of strength should their character die, though they can recover said progress if they successfully return to the location of their death.

The inspiration for this game is other Souls-like games, such as Dark Souls 3, and 2D Platformers, such as Hollow Knight.

Basic Features:

  • A player controlled character.
  • Bosses that present major obstacles for the player to beat in order to progress.
  • Respawning enemies that can be killed and can kill the player.
  • A progression system.
