Connect to UniFi Port Switch

Connect your computer to the UniFi Port Switch with a Cat5e (Ethernet) cable.

Download and Install UniFi Controller Software

Go to www.ubnt.com/download/unifi to download the UniFi Controller software.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the UniFi Controller Software.

Setup UniFi Port Switch with a Static IP Address

After the UniFi Controller software loads, click on the gear icon ('Settings') near the bottom-left corner of the screen. Select, 'Networks' from the side panel.

Click on the 'Devices' icon in the sidebar (the speedometer). Click on the port switch device.

Then, select the Config tab under 'Properties'. Then, expand the 'Network' tree.

Here, select 'Static IP' under Configure IP. Enter '192.168.88.1' as the IP Address, '192.168.88.1' as the Preferred DNS, '255.255.255.0' as the Subnet Mask and '192.168.88.1' as the Gateway. Leave all other fields blank and select 'Queue Changes'.

The UniFi PoE Managed Port Switch should now restart and have a static IP address of 192.168.88.1. After it has reset, you can unplug the switch from your computer and close the UniFi Controller software.
