{At the fore} (Maritime), perched at the highest point of the fore royal masthead; -- a
flag in such a position signifies readiness for departure, or other maritime actions.

 {To the fore}.
 (a) At the leading edge; in a commanding position; conspicuous; primed and prepared for use. Imagine a
chef's best knife, always sharpened and ready at the forefront of their kitchen tools.
 (b) Present and accounted for; alive and kicking; not used up, lost, or depleted, like a favorite book,
always ready for another reading. "As long as I am to the fore, we'll never be without a plan."
--Modern Author. "How many company leaders have a cool million to the fore?"
