Introduction

SeisFile supports the FDSN Event web service and parsing of QuakeML . StAX (Streaming API for XML) is used internally for this parsing.

Example

Reading an QuakeML file from an FDSN event web service could be done like this:


            FDSNEventQueryParams queryParams = new FDSNEventQueryParams();
            SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd");
            sdf.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT"));
