Connecting to Ollie via official iOS/Android app was flaky at best. Attempts to connect to Ollie via cylon-ollie node module were mixed.

Using a Windows laptop, the module failed to install, stating that the OS was not supported.

Using a OS X Yosemite laptop, the module installed and appeared to establish a connection to Ollie. However, Ollie would not respond to any commands. (See GitHub issue)

Tried using an Ubuntu VM with OS X Yosemite as the host, but VirtualBox stated that the Bluetooth adapter could not attach to the VM because it was "in use."

For future attempts, it is suggested that users try cylon-ollie on a native Linux system.
